Do you allow cold texting or cold prospecting or texting contacts who have not opted-in?

No. Never. Tuco AI does not allow cold texting, cold outreach, or cold iMessage of any kind — no purchased lists, no scraped contacts, no first-touch messages to people who have never engaged with your brand. There is no plan, add-on, or volume tier that permits it.

Who you CAN message

iMessage through Tuco AI is a warm follow-up channel, for people who already gave you a way to reach them:

  • Form-fills — anyone who submitted a form on your website (demo request, contact form, lead magnet).
  • Ad opt-ins — anyone who gave you their phone number through a paid ad (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn lead forms).
  • Replied prospects — anyone who replied to your email or LinkedIn outreach.
  • Existing customers — current, past, and trialing customers (if they can recall your purchase and within the last month)
  • Calendar bookings and event registrants — anyone who booked a meeting or signed up for your webinar/event.

Who you CANNOT message

  • Contacts scraped from LinkedIn, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or any data provider.
  • Purchased lists, or any list where the recipient didn't consent to hear from your brand.
  • Anyone who hasn't yet engaged with your brand — not even "just a small test batch."
  • Recruitment mass bulk texting campaigns who haven't applied in the last month.

Why the policy is absolute

Apple bans lines that message strangers. A handful of spam reports on a single Apple ID kills it — usually within days. Tuco AI replaces flagged numbers for free once or twice, but past that the audience has to change; we do not keep rescuing lines that are cold-texting.

What to use for cold outreach instead

Email and LinkedIn are the compliant first-touch channels. Reach prospects there first, and when they reply positively, route the conversation to iMessage — that's where Tuco AI delivers a 5–10x reply-rate lift over email.
